Privacy Policy

1. Scope and controller

This Privacy Policy applies to Quick Notes - Notes, checklists, reminders, attachments, widget, floating bubble, and backup, displayed as Quick Notes, with Android package name com.veromtec.notes, published by Veromtec.

Veromtec / Roman Liskin is responsible for the app-specific processing described in this policy. Independent services such as Google, Android system services, external browsers, file providers, email apps, cloud drives, messaging apps, wallet apps, and websites process information under their own policies when you use them.

Quick Notes is primarily a local, client-side productivity app. In the reviewed version, Veromtec does not operate a Quick Notes account system or notes sync backend that receives your ordinary notes, attachments, checklists, widget data, app settings, or backup files.

3. Information Quick Notes accesses or processes

3.1 Notes, checklists, tags, and organization

Quick Notes stores the content you create, including note titles, note body text, checklist items, tags, colors, priorities, pins, favorites, archive status, trash/deleted status, created and updated times, reminder time, locked-note flags, and related metadata. Search text typed into the app is used locally to find matching notes, tags, checklist items, attachment names, and note content.

This information is stored in a local app database on your device. Veromtec does not receive ordinary note content through a Quick Notes server in the reviewed version.

3.2 Attachments, camera photos, gallery images, drawings, audio, and files

When you add an attachment, Quick Notes may copy the selected or created file into the app's private document storage. Attachments can include photos taken with the camera, gallery images you select, drawings created in the drawing pad, audio recordings made in the app, and other files selected through Android's file picker.

Attachment records may include a local file path, file name, attachment type, creation time, duration for audio, and file size. These files remain local unless you export a backup, share a note, send a file through another app, or include them in support communications.

3.3 App settings, language, theme, and preferences

Quick Notes stores preferences such as selected language, theme mode, accent color, view mode, font size, autosave setting, word-count setting, onboarding completion, bubble enabled state, app lock settings, and other user choices. These settings are stored locally to keep the app configured as you selected.

3.4 App lock, locked notes, passcode, and device unlock

If you enable app lock or lock a note, Quick Notes may use an app passcode or Android device unlock. For an app passcode, the reviewed app stores a passcode salt and hash locally rather than storing the passcode in plain text. For device unlock, Android verifies your face, fingerprint, PIN, pattern, or device password through the operating system. Quick Notes receives only the success or failure result and does not receive your biometric template, face image, fingerprint, device PIN, pattern, or device password.

Locked-note and app-lock features are designed to protect casual access inside the app. They are not a substitute for keeping your device locked, updated, and backed up safely.

3.5 Reminders, notifications, and exact alarms

If you set a reminder, Quick Notes stores a note identifier, reminder time, title, and notification body needed by Android to show the reminder. For locked notes, reminder text is limited so the note content is not shown in the notification body. Android may reschedule reminders after device reboot, app update, or time/time-zone changes.

Reminder notifications may appear on your lock screen or notification shade depending on Android settings. Anyone who can see your screen may see notification text unless you restrict notification previews in Android.

3.6 Home-screen widget

The Quick Notes widget can display recent note titles and store note identifiers locally so tapping a widget item can open the related note. Widget content appears on the Android home screen and may be visible to anyone who can see your launcher.

3.7 Floating bubble shortcut

If you enable the optional floating bubble, Android display-over-other-apps permission allows Quick Notes to show a small shortcut above other apps. A foreground notification may be displayed while the bubble service is active. The bubble is used for quick actions such as opening the app, creating a note, opening checklist actions, or archive access. It is not used to record your screen or read content from other apps.

3.8 Backup, restore, import, export, clipboard, and sharing

When you create a ZIP backup, the backup may include note text, checklist data, tags, timestamps, reminder information, locked-note flags, metadata, and attachment files. In the reviewed version, the ZIP backup format is not automatically encrypted. If you share a backup or note through another app, save it to cloud storage, email it, message it, or copy content to the clipboard, the selected destination handles that copy under its own privacy policy.

When you restore a backup, Quick Notes reads the selected ZIP file, imports note data, and may copy included attachment files into app storage. You should restore only backup files you trust.

3.9 Google AdMob advertising

Quick Notes includes Google Mobile Ads integration and may display banner and interstitial advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information such as IP address, app launches and interactions, ad views and taps, diagnostics and performance information, Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other device or account identifiers where available. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, measurement, service delivery, security, and fraud prevention.

Google may infer a general location from your IP address. Quick Notes does not intentionally pass note content, checklist content, attachment files, backup files, precise device location, or manually created note data to Google AdMob. Ads may be personalised, non-personalised, limited, or technically delivered depending on law, consent choices, device settings, Google account settings, and Google's ad eligibility rules.

3.10 Google Fonts and visual resources

Quick Notes uses Google Fonts technology for app typography. Depending on the build and runtime configuration, font files may be bundled locally or requested and cached from Google infrastructure. If a runtime request is made to Google Fonts, Google may receive ordinary technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, and device/app request headers needed to serve the font file.

3.11 Support, external links, and voluntary donations

If you contact Veromtec by email, through a store listing, or through another support channel, Veromtec receives the information you choose to send. This may include your email address, message content, app name, app version, device information, screenshots, files, backup excerpts, logs, or other diagnostic information you voluntarily include.

The app may open external links such as the Veromtec website or Google Play developer page through your browser or Google Play. Those services receive ordinary network and account information according to their own policies. The support screen may show cryptocurrency wallet addresses for voluntary support. Copying a wallet address inside the app does not send personal information to Veromtec, but any transaction you make outside the app may be processed by your wallet, exchange, blockchain network, or payment service under their own rules and may be publicly visible on the relevant blockchain.

4. Permissions

Quick Notes asks for Android permissions only when needed for related features. The exact permission name and behavior may vary by Android version, device manufacturer, and app-store distribution channel.

5. Third-party services

Depending on the features you use and the app's configuration, Quick Notes may interact with:

• Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for banner and interstitial advertising, ad measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention.
• Google Play and Android system services for permissions, file picker, notifications, alarms, app widgets, device unlock, links, install/update management, and device-level privacy controls.
• Google Fonts infrastructure where fonts or related resources are loaded at runtime instead of bundled locally.
• External apps selected by you, such as browsers, email apps, messaging apps, cloud drives, file managers, gallery apps, camera providers, audio services, wallet apps, and share targets.
• Veromtec website and Google Play developer page when you open support or publisher links.

These services control their own processing, retention, security, and international transfers. Their current policies are available below:

6. Purposes and legal bases

Quick Notes, Veromtec, and relevant third-party services may process information for the following purposes:

• provide notes, checklists, attachments, drawings, audio notes, search, organization, archive, trash, reminders, widgets, floating bubble, backup, restore, sharing, settings, and app lock features;
• remember your preferences, language, theme, and local configuration;
• display and measure ads, prevent advertising fraud, diagnose ad delivery, and support app monetisation;
• maintain app functionality, diagnose technical issues, and prevent abuse;
• respond to support, privacy, legal, and security requests;
• comply with law and enforce applicable terms.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on your consent, including Android permission choices and advertising-consent choices; performance of the service or action you requested; legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, supporting, and funding the app; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis, but this does not affect prior lawful processing.

7. Sharing, disclosure, and sale

Veromtec does not sell your note text, checklist content, attachments, drawings, audio recordings, backup files, or app settings for money. Quick Notes does not upload ordinary notes to a Veromtec notes server in the reviewed version.

Information is disclosed or made available to third parties only as needed for the feature you use: ads through Google AdMob; Android permissions, notifications, widgets, alarms, file picker, and device unlock through Android/Google services; fonts or external links through Google or websites where applicable; and your chosen share, storage, email, messaging, browser, wallet, or support destination when you export or communicate.

Veromtec may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or abuse, establish or defend legal claims, enforce terms, or complete a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or transfer of the app, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.

Some privacy laws define targeted advertising disclosures as a “sale,” “share,” or “targeted advertising” even when no money is exchanged. Google AdMob's processing of identifiers and activity for personalised advertising may fall within those definitions. Available controls are described in Sections 9 and 10.

8. Retention and deletion

Local app data

Notes, checklists, tags, settings, attachments, reminders, widget entries, bubble settings, passcode hash/salt, and local preferences generally remain on your device until you change them, delete them, clear trash, clear all notes, clear app data, uninstall the app, or restore/replace data from a backup.

Backups and shared copies

ZIP backups remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them from that location. Deleting a note inside Quick Notes does not automatically delete copies that you exported, sent, uploaded, or stored elsewhere.

Support communications

Veromtec may retain support and privacy correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, maintain records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and protect legal rights. You may request deletion, subject to legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements.

Third-party retention

Google, Android system services, external apps, browsers, cloud drives, email providers, messaging apps, wallet apps, app stores, and other independent services retain information under their own policies. Removing Quick Notes does not automatically delete information retained by those services.

How to delete local data

• Delete individual notes or attachments in Quick Notes.
• Use the trash and clear-trash controls to permanently remove deleted notes and their local attachment files.
• Use the clear-all-notes option if you want to remove all notes and local attachment files from the app database.
• Remove widgets from the Android launcher and disable the floating bubble if you no longer want those quick-access features.
• Use Android Settings → Apps → Quick Notes → Storage → Clear storage/data to remove local app data from the device.
• Uninstall Quick Notes to remove ordinary private app storage from the device.
• Delete ZIP backups and shared copies from any folders, cloud drives, email accounts, messages, or other locations where you saved them.
• Contact veromtec@gmail.com to request deletion of support information held by Veromtec.

Quick Notes does not provide a Veromtec notes account in the reviewed version, so there is no separate Quick Notes cloud account to delete.

9. Permissions and privacy choices

• Camera, microphone, media, files, notifications, overlay, and biometric/device unlock: grant, deny, or revoke permissions in Android settings. Disabling a permission can limit the related feature but should not prevent unrelated note features from working.
• App lock and locked notes: enable, disable, or change app-lock settings inside Quick Notes where available. Manage device biometrics and credentials in Android settings.
• Notifications: disable reminder notifications or hide sensitive lock-screen content through Android notification settings.
• Widget: remove the widget from your launcher if you do not want recent note titles visible on the home screen.
• Floating bubble: turn off the bubble inside the app or revoke display-over-other-apps permission in Android settings.
• Backups: do not export a backup unless you are ready to store it securely. Delete exported files from external locations when no longer needed.
• Sharing: choose share targets carefully. Once you send a note, attachment, or backup to another app, that app controls the copy.
• Advertising: use Android and Google ad settings to reset or delete the advertising ID and control ad personalisation. Where the app or Google presents a legally required consent message, use the available privacy choices to select or withdraw consent.
• External links and support: avoid sending sensitive information in support messages unless necessary for the request.

10. Privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, information about disclosures, and opt-out of certain targeted advertising or sale/sharing practices. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.

Much of Quick Notes information exists only on your device and is not available to Veromtec. For that information, use the app controls and Android deletion controls described above. For support information held by Veromtec, send a request to veromtec@gmail.com and identify Quick Notes and the nature of your request. Reasonable identity verification may be required.

Requests concerning information controlled by Google, Android, app stores, external websites, cloud drives, email providers, messaging apps, wallet apps, or other third-party services should also be directed to those providers using the rights mechanisms in their privacy policies.

11. Security

Quick Notes uses Android app storage, a local database, local preferences, app-lock options, device unlock integration, and Android permission controls. App passcodes are stored as a local salted hash in the reviewed version. Android handles biometric templates and device credentials outside Quick Notes.

No device, app storage, notification, widget, clipboard, backup, network transmission, or third-party service can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a strong Android device lock, keep your device updated, restrict lock-screen previews, avoid storing highly sensitive secrets unless you understand the risks, and keep backup files private.

12. Children's privacy

Quick Notes is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. Veromtec does not knowingly ask children to create an account or submit personal information. Parents or guardians who believe a child has sent personal information to Veromtec may contact veromtec@gmail.com to request review and deletion where required.

13. International processing

Third-party providers such as Google, Android-related services, app stores, external websites, cloud drives, email providers, messaging apps, wallet services, and advertising partners operate in multiple countries. Information sent to them may be processed outside your country of residence, including in countries with different data-protection laws. Each provider is responsible for the transfer mechanisms and safeguards described in its policy. Veromtec support correspondence may also be processed where Veromtec and its service providers operate.

14. Changes to this policy

Veromtec may update this Privacy Policy when Quick Notes features, permissions, SDKs, ads, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, the Google Play listing, or the Veromtec website where appropriate.

The Google Play Data safety form and in-app disclosures should match the exact released build. If you modify the app to add cloud sync, accounts, analytics, crash reporting, payments, subscriptions, AI features, location, contacts, calendar, or other SDKs, update this policy before release.
