About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Smart Cleaner Android application published by Veromtec on Google Play. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, “App,” “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to Smart Cleaner and services provided by Veromtec for this App.

By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

User-controlled cleaning: Smart Cleaner is designed to help users review device storage, cache, junk files, media clutter, app storage, and scan results before taking action. The App should not delete personal files without user action and confirmation where required by the Android version and app feature.
Security notice: Smart Cleaner may include antivirus-style or security-helper scan features. These features can help identify suspicious apps, risky permissions, or unsafe indicators, but they cannot guarantee that every malware, unsafe file, privacy risk, or security problem will be detected. Users should still use caution and keep Android, Google Play Protect, and important apps updated.
User-controlled cleaning Files and apps are presented for review before user-selected cleanup or management actions.
On-device processing Many cleaning, scanning, preference, and history functions operate locally on the device.
Optional third parties Advertising, purchases, support, and external links may involve providers described below.
No sale of personal data Veromtec does not sell users’ personal information.

1. Information We Collect or Access

The information collected or accessed depends on the features you choose to use. Some data is stored only on your device. Some features may require internet access to display ads, process purchases, download updates, open support pages, or communicate with third-party services.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may process information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Files, folders, app categories, or media items that you select for review or cleaning.
  • Cleaning preferences, scan preferences, notification/reminder settings, language, theme, and other app settings.
  • Email address, message content, screenshots, logs, or other information you send when contacting support.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for a specific feature or support request that you choose to use.

1.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App may store the following information locally on your device:

  • Cleaning history, scan history, or last scan result summaries, if this feature is enabled.
  • Language, theme, onboarding state, reminder settings, and app preferences.
  • Selected cleaning categories and user choices.
  • Pro or remove-ads entitlement status after purchase or restore.
  • Local scan databases, rules, cache lists, or safety indicators where implemented.

Local data generally remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears app data, changes settings, or uninstalls the App.

2. Cleaner, Cache, Junk File, and Storage Features

Smart Cleaner may scan accessible storage areas, app cache information, downloads, temporary files, empty folders, duplicate files, large files, old files, and other categories of clutter in order to show storage usage and cleanup suggestions.

Depending on the Android version and enabled features, the App may process:

  • File names, file paths, file types, file sizes, modified dates, and storage locations.
  • Thumbnails or media metadata when needed to preview user media before deletion.
  • Cache and storage usage information for apps, where Android allows access.
  • Selected files or categories that the user chooses to clean.

The purpose of this processing is to help the user understand what is using storage and to delete only items the user chooses to remove. Android permissions and file access rules may limit what the App can access or delete.

Important: Users should review selected files before deleting them. Deleted files may not be recoverable. Smart Cleaner is not responsible for files that the user chooses to delete.

3. Media Cleaner and Messaging-App Media

If enabled, the App may help users find and clean media clutter from general device storage or messaging-app media folders, such as WhatsApp or Telegram media, where accessible through Android MediaStore or user-granted file access.

The App may display categories such as images, videos, audio, documents, downloads, large files, old files, screenshots, duplicate-looking files, or messaging-app media. This may involve processing media names, sizes, paths, dates, thumbnails, and metadata on the device.

The App does not own or control third-party apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or other messaging apps. Their own privacy policies and storage behavior apply to their services and content.

4. App Manager, Boost, Battery, and Performance Tools

Smart Cleaner may include app manager, boost, battery, memory, or performance helper tools. These features may access or display installed app information, package names, app icons, storage usage, cache size, running or recent app indicators where available, and device resource information.

Some Android versions require the user to grant Usage Access permission before the App can display app usage or storage statistics through Android system services such as UsageStatsManager or StorageStatsManager. The App should use this permission only for features visible to the user, such as app storage analysis, app usage review, or optimization suggestions.

Performance or boost tools are intended to help users manage device clutter and app usage. Actual performance results may vary depending on the device, Android version, installed apps, and user actions.

5. Security / Antivirus-Style Scan Features

Smart Cleaner may include security-helper or antivirus-style scan features. These features may review installed app metadata, package names, permissions, APK indicators, file indicators, hashes, local signature indicators, or other technical information available on the device.

The App may use this information to:

  • Show suspicious apps or risky permission patterns.
  • Warn about potentially unsafe files or app indicators.
  • Compare local indicators with built-in or downloaded rules, if implemented.
  • Help the user decide whether to uninstall, ignore, or investigate an app.

Smart Cleaner is a helper tool and does not guarantee complete malware detection, complete security, or removal of every unsafe app or file. Users should keep Google Play Protect and Android security updates enabled.

6. Permissions Used by the App

The App may request permissions only where needed for app functionality. Depending on the build, Android version, and features enabled, permissions may include:

  • Internet access: used to display ads, process purchases, contact support pages, download updates, or communicate with online services.
  • Storage / media access: used to display and clean files, photos, videos, audio, documents, downloads, or messaging-app media where allowed by Android.
  • Query installed apps / package visibility: used to display installed apps, app storage, risky app indicators, or uninstall/manage actions.
  • Usage Access: used only if the user grants it through Android settings, for app usage or app storage analysis features.
  • Notifications: used for optional reminders, scan alerts, or cleaning notifications where enabled by the user.
  • Battery optimization / system settings screens: used only to open Android settings screens when the user chooses related optimization features.

In the current design, the App is not intended to request GPS/location permission, microphone permission, SMS permission, contacts permission, or phone-call permission. The App is also not intended to use an Android Accessibility Service unless this is clearly disclosed, implemented, and approved for a specific visible user-facing feature in a future build.

Users can manage app permissions through Android device settings.

7. Advertising

The App may be ad-supported in certain builds or regions. If ads are enabled, the App may display banner ads, interstitial ads, rewarded ads, startup ads, or other ad formats through third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob.

Third-party advertising services may collect or process information such as:

  • IP address.
  • Advertising ID.
  • Device identifiers.
  • App interactions.
  • Ad views, clicks, and impressions.
  • Diagnostic and performance data.
  • Approximate location inferred from IP address.
  • Information used for fraud prevention, analytics, ad delivery, and ad measurement.

Advertising partners may use this information to show personalized or non-personalized ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and improve ad services.

Users can manage or reset their advertising ID and ad personalization preferences through Android or Google settings, where supported by their Android version.

8. Pro Features, Remove-Ads Subscription, and Google Play Billing

The App may offer optional Pro features, a remove-ads subscription, or in-app purchases through Google Play. Google Play Billing processes the payment transaction. We do not receive or store the user’s full payment card number, bank account details, or payment credentials.

To provide subscription features, the App may process purchase information such as product ID, purchase status, purchase identifier, purchase token or verification data, restore status, and local entitlement state. This information is used to activate, restore, or maintain Pro features and remove ads.

Users can manage, cancel, or review subscriptions through their Google Play account settings.

9. Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically by the App, by Veromtec servers, or by third-party services used in the App. This may include:

  • Device model and manufacturer.
  • Android version and operating system information.
  • App version.
  • Device language and region.
  • Available and used storage information.
  • Battery, memory, and performance indicators shown by the App.
  • IP address.
  • Advertising ID or other device identifiers, if ads are enabled.
  • App usage data, such as app launches, taps, views, and interactions, if collected by enabled SDKs.
  • Diagnostic data, crash logs, performance data, and error reports, if collected by enabled SDKs or support tools.
  • Date and time of use or network request.

This information is used to provide, secure, improve, debug, maintain, and support the App, and where applicable, to display advertisements, process purchases, or provide updates.

10. Third-Party Service Providers

The App may use third-party services to provide, maintain, advertise, secure, or improve the App. These services may include:

  • Google Play Services.
  • Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK, if ads are enabled.
  • Google Play Billing, if subscriptions or purchases are offered.
  • Android operating system services, including storage, MediaStore, Usage Access, notification, and package manager services.
  • Veromtec servers or hosting providers for app resources, updates, or support pages where implemented.
  • External websites opened by the user from the App.

These third parties may collect information according to their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party services used by the App.

11. How We Use Information

We may use information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the App.
  • To analyze storage usage and show cleaning suggestions.
  • To display files, media, cache categories, and app storage information to the user.
  • To delete files, cache, or clutter selected by the user.
  • To provide media cleaner, app manager, boost, battery, and performance helper tools.
  • To provide security-helper or antivirus-style scan results.
  • To save app settings and preferences locally.
  • To show advertisements, where ads are enabled.
  • To process or restore Pro or remove-ads subscription status.
  • To improve app performance and user experience.
  • To fix bugs, crashes, and technical problems.
  • To provide support and respond to user inquiries.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, spam, security issues, or unauthorized activity.
  • To comply with legal obligations and Google Play requirements.
  • To analyze aggregated or anonymized usage trends, where applicable.

We do not sell users’ personal information.

12. Sharing of Information

We may share or allow processing of information in the following situations:

12.1 With Service Providers

We may share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the App, such as advertising, billing, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, or support providers.

12.2 With Advertising Partners

If ads are enabled, the App may share certain information with advertising partners such as Google AdMob for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention.

12.3 With Google Play Billing

If the user purchases or restores a subscription, Google Play Billing processes the transaction and provides purchase status information needed by the App to enable subscription features.

12.4 When the User Chooses to Delete, Share, Export, or Open Content

If the user chooses to delete files, share a report, send screenshots/logs, open another app, open Android settings, or use a third-party file manager, browser, email app, or cloud service, that third party may process the selected information according to its own privacy policy.

12.5 For Legal or Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of users, Veromtec, the App, or others.

12.6 Business Transfers

If Veromtec is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a replacement policy with appropriate notice.

13. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Local app data:

  • Most app settings, scan summaries, cleaning history, and preferences are stored locally on the device.
  • Local data may be deleted when the user clears app data, changes settings, deletes history, or uninstalls the App.

Server logs:

  • Veromtec servers or hosting providers may retain technical logs for security, abuse prevention, reliability, debugging, and legal compliance where online resources are used.
  • Retention periods may vary depending on hosting, security, backup, and legal requirements.

Support emails:

  • We may retain email communications for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain records, prevent abuse, and protect our legal interests.

Third-party services:

  • Third-party providers may retain data according to their own privacy policies and retention practices.

14. Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of personal data associated with their use of the App by contacting us at:

Email: veromtec@gmail.com

Please include:

  • The App name: Smart Cleaner.
  • The email or account identifier used, if applicable.
  • A clear request, such as “Please delete my data associated with Smart Cleaner.”

Because many Smart Cleaner features work locally and do not require a Veromtec account for core features, much of the App data can be deleted directly by clearing app data, deleting local scan history, deleting selected files, changing settings, or uninstalling the App. Deleting the App from a device may remove local data stored on that device, but it may not automatically delete data retained by third-party services such as Google Play, Google AdMob, hosting providers, or support email systems.

After receiving a deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize relevant personal data that we control, unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business reasons.

15. Security

We value user trust and use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect information handled by the App.

The App is designed to process many cleaning and scan tasks on the device, use Android permission controls, follow scoped storage requirements where applicable, and avoid unnecessary access to unrelated data. However, no app, website, device, network, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Users are responsible for keeping their device secure, reviewing selected files before deletion, and using caution before uninstalling apps or deleting files based on scan results.

16. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App does not directly use browser cookies in the same way as websites. However, third-party services, SDKs, ads, billing systems, external websites, browsers, or embedded web content may use cookies, identifiers, local storage, or similar technologies to provide ads, analytics, security, payments, or functionality.

Users may manage some of these technologies through device settings, Google settings, browser settings, or third-party service settings.

17. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age, or the relevant minimum age in the user’s country, without parental consent where required.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at:

Email: veromtec@gmail.com

We will take reasonable steps to delete such information where required.

18. International Users

The App may be used by users located in different countries. By using the App, users understand that information may be processed in countries other than their country of residence, where data protection laws may differ.

Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect personal information according to applicable privacy laws.

19. User Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Request information about how your data is used or shared.

To exercise these rights, contact us at: veromtec@gmail.com

We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.

21. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we update the Privacy Policy, we will change the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We may also provide additional notice inside the App or on our website where appropriate.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
