This Privacy Policy explains how Veromtec handles information when you use SOS Alert (the “App”). The App is an emergency alert, trusted-contact messaging, location sharing, safety check-in, and emergency navigation tool.
For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, “App,” “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to SOS Alert and related services provided by Veromtec.
By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
The information collected or accessed depends on which features you use and which permissions you grant. Most App data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to Veromtec servers.
The App lets you manually add trusted contacts who may receive SOS messages. This may include:
The App does not need to read your phone contacts list for this feature. Trusted-contact information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to send an SOS message or share information through another app or service.
The App may let you enter optional emergency profile details, including:
This information may be sensitive. It is stored locally on your device and may be included in SOS SMS or email messages if you choose to save it and trigger an SOS feature. Do not enter information that you do not want sent to your trusted contacts or configured email recipient.
The App is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
The App may request approximate location, precise location, and background location access to provide emergency location features. Location data may include:
Location is used to generate SOS location links, send emergency SMS messages, send optional email location updates, show last known safety location, and open navigation shortcuts.
Background location is used only for configured emergency features, such as closed-app SOS, accessibility-volume SOS, and scheduled location email alerts. If you do not grant background location, some closed-app or background emergency features may use a last known location or may not work correctly.
If you trigger SOS, the App may send SMS messages directly to trusted contacts you selected. SOS SMS content may include:
SMS delivery is handled by your mobile carrier and Android device. Veromtec does not receive your SMS messages. The App does not read your SMS inbox, call logs, or incoming messages.
The App may allow you to configure optional email location alerts using SMTP. Depending on your settings, the App may store locally:
When an email alert is sent, the message may include your current or last known location, coordinates, map link, timestamp, and related SOS context. Email is sent through the email provider you configure, such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, a private SMTP server, or another SMTP provider. That provider and the recipient may process and store the email according to their own privacy practices.
We recommend using an app password where your email provider supports it. You can remove or change SMTP settings inside the App or by clearing App data in Android settings.
The App may offer an optional Android Accessibility Service named for the SOS volume shortcut. This service is used only to detect a sequence of four Volume Up or four Volume Down key presses so the App can trigger SOS while the App is closed, in the background, or the screen is off.
The Accessibility Service does not:
The service is optional and must be enabled manually by the user in Android Accessibility settings. You can disable it at any time from Android settings.
The App may use notifications, foreground services, and scheduled background work to show when SOS, location email, or background emergency tasks are running. These notifications are used for transparency and emergency-status visibility.
The App may show banner ads or interstitial ads to users who have not purchased Remove Ads. Advertising may be provided by Google AdMob or Google Mobile Ads SDK.
The App may offer a remove-ads purchase with product ID remove_ads_099.
Purchases and restorations are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or
store your full payment card number. The App may store a local entitlement flag indicating
that ads were removed after a successful purchase or restore.
If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, message content, screenshots, logs, crash details, device information, or any other information you choose to provide.
Certain information may be collected automatically by the App, Android system services, or third-party SDKs used in the App. This may include:
This information is used to provide, secure, improve, debug, maintain, support, advertise, and measure the App, and to prevent abuse or fraud.
We may use information for the following purposes:
We do not sell users’ personal information.
The App may use third-party services to provide, maintain, analyze, advertise, secure, or improve App functionality.
These services may include:
These third parties may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party services used with the App.
Some versions of the App are ad-supported. Google AdMob or Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or process information such as:
Users can manage or reset their advertising ID and ad personalization preferences through Android or Google settings. Users who purchase Remove Ads should not see the App’s normal in-app ads after a successful purchase or restore, subject to correct store configuration and app state.
We may share or disclose information in the following situations:
When you trigger SOS or send a location update, your selected trusted contacts or configured email recipient may receive your location, map link, timestamp, emergency profile details, and SOS message content.
We may allow service providers such as advertising, billing, analytics, diagnostic, email, telecom, map, or operating-system services to process information necessary to operate App features.
Ad-supported versions may share certain information with advertising partners such as Google AdMob for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention.
If the user chooses to share text, open SMS composer, open a map link, open a phone dialer, or navigate through another app or service, that information will be handled by the third-party app or service selected by the user.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of users, Veromtec, or others.
If Veromtec is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a replacement policy with appropriate notice.
Most App information is stored locally on your device, including trusted contacts, emergency profile, email settings, last known location, navigation preferences, app language, onboarding state, notification settings, and remove-ads entitlement state.
Local data generally remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, clear App data, or uninstall the App. Because Android backup may be enabled on some devices, local App data may be backed up or restored by Android/Google backup services depending on your device settings and Google account configuration.
For support emails:
For third-party services:
You can delete most App data by editing or deleting trusted contacts, clearing emergency profile fields, removing email settings, clearing App data in Android settings, or uninstalling the App.
Users may request deletion of personal data associated with support communications by contacting us at:
Email: veromtec@gmail.com
Please include:
After receiving a deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize the relevant personal data, unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup-integrity, or legitimate business reasons.
Deleting the App from a device may remove local App data, but it may not automatically delete data already sent to trusted contacts, email recipients, mobile carriers, email providers, advertising providers, billing providers, or other third-party services.
We value user trust and use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no mobile application, device, network, email system, SMS service, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
SMS messages are generally handled by mobile carriers and may not provide end-to-end encryption. Email delivery depends on the user’s configured email provider and SMTP settings. Users should carefully protect SMTP usernames, passwords, app passwords, trusted-contact data, and emergency profile information.
The App requests permissions only where needed for App functionality. Users can manage App permissions through Android device settings.

| SMS | Used to send direct SOS SMS messages to trusted contacts selected by the user. The app does not read the SMS inbox. |
| Accessibility Service | Optional. Used only to detect four Volume Up or four Volume Down key presses for closed-app SOS. It does not read screen content, passwords, chats, notifications, or messages. |
| Notifications / Foreground Service | Used to show visible status while SOS, location, or background email work is running. |
| Internet | Used for ads, Google Play Billing, optional email sending through the user configured SMTP provider, and opening web/map links. |

| Google Play Billing | Used for the remove-ads product and restoring purchases. |
In the current version, the App is not designed to:
Voice-keyword SOS is not active in the current version. The App does not request microphone permission for always-on hotword listening.
The App does not directly use browser cookies in the same way as websites. However, third-party services, SDKs, ads, billing, or embedded web content may use cookies, identifiers, local storage, or similar technologies to provide ads, analytics, security, billing, or functionality.
Users may manage some of these technologies through device settings, Google settings, or third-party service settings.
The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age, or the relevant minimum age in the user’s country, without parental consent where required.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at:

We will take reasonable steps to delete such information where required.
The App may be used by users located in different countries. By using the App, users understand that information may be processed in countries other than their country of residence, where data protection laws may differ.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect personal information according to applicable privacy laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we update the Privacy Policy, we will change the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We may also provide additional notice inside the App or on our website where appropriate.
Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
